Juan Darien Books

Juan Darien Books (named after a short story by Uruguayan writer Horacio Quiroga) has been a project in the making for 20 years between owner Sarah and coffee roaster Hernan of Anastasis.

It is founded on a pooled collection of new and pre-loved books (once our only possessions) and on hours of reading aloud while overdosing on espresso shots from a commercial machine plumbed into the laundry of the house.
